
On Wednesday, October 27, the Rangely Police Department held the Elk Bugling and Camoflouge Contest. Rangely School District would like to thank the parents for bringing their kids out to participate, the three judges Frank Huitt, Justin Steele, and Ryan Huitt, the police department for purchasing trophies for the contestants, Lt. Stubblefield and Officer Millard for putting the event on, and another thank you to Lt. Stubblefield for purchasing door prizes for the students to win throughout the night. It was great to see this event brought back to Rangely, and we look forward to seeing this event again next year.





Students at the Rangely Junior/Senior High School are allowed to come into the library each day to play games during the lunch hour. Once per month, there is a specific game day involving great prizes. Wednesday, October 27, was the first Library Game Day. There were 10 junior high students and 10 high school students. The students played the game Left, Center, Right with hopes of winning one of the two $25 Kum & Go gift cards. The two winners were Cutler Mergelman and Tristan Scott.


Rangely High School Volleyball is on the road today, Friday, October 22, to Vail Christian High School, where they will take on the Saints. Games will begin at 4:00 PM.

Kindergarten has been learning about the lifecycle of a pumpkin. They took a field trip to Studt’s Pumpkin Patch; today, Thursday, October 21, to enjoy different activities and see where real pumpkins grow.

Rangely High School student athletes are state softball bound.


Rangely High School Volleyball is traveling to Rifle today to take on the Bears. Games will start at 4:30 PM with C-Team, then JV at 5:30 PM, and varsity at 6:30 PM.

It is every parents favorite time of the year. Fourth grade students at Parkview started learning recorders this week. We are all so glad to have elementary music back at the EEC and Parkview. Thank you Mr. Summers!





Panther Parents are the best! Thank you, cross country parents, for making good luck goodies for our cross country athletes to wish them luck as they head into regionals this weekend.


Your Rangely Panthers will provide tonight’s dinner and entertainment. The Rangely High School Football Team will host the Vail Christian Saints tonight, Thursday, October 21. The kick-off is at 6:00 PM. The Junior class will be offering a soup meal deal starting at 5:30 PM in the lower commons of the school. There will be a variety of soups to choose from, and you’ll get a roll, cookie, and drink for five dollars. Come out and support the students, enjoy a night off from cooking, and watch some Panther Football!


Today, Wednesday, October 20, the first graders enjoyed a day at the Blue Bell Corn Maze in Bluebell, Utah.





Mr. Talbot, a geologist and grandparent of Parkview students Rhys and Carden, came to Parkview today and taught second and fourth graders about fossils.





Reminder that there will be a community meeting regarding the BEST Grant and proposed Bond at 6:00 tonight. The meeting is at the Jr/Sr High School.





With top five finishes in both the boys and girls race, the Panthers were well represented at the Rifle Invitational this week. The teams compete in the regional meet this coming weekend as they fight for positions at the state meet.

A great day for basketball in Rangely as we hosted a boys junior high tournament. Both 7th and 8th grade played exceptionally well and will continue to improve. Go Panthers!!!





High school JV volleyball won in 2 sets today at Little Snake River. Varsity volleyball also beat Little Snake River 3-1.





The Meeker High School Softball Team is heading to State! Congratulations to our three Rangely athletes and the rest of the team.


Boys roll to a 46-0 win. Our first taste of winter with cold temperatures in Oak Creek. The boys did awesome!
