Last week, the seventh-grade health lifestyles class enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful scenery while going on a hike.
Come to Main Street on Friday, September 20, for the Rangely Panther Homecoming Parade. The parade will begin at 1:00 p.m.
This year’s homecoming theme is “Tune into Panther Network.”

Join the sophomores on Thursday, September 19, at 5:00 PM at the Western Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District for dinner. After dinner, walk across the parking lot for the homecoming pep rally and bonfire.

The freshmen are kicking it off with the long-standing tradition of painting the R. Thank you to the Rangely Panther Pride Booster Club for donating the paint and supplies.
Many fun things are happening this week. You’ll see high school students along Main Street painting the windows of businesses and in shops building floats. Students across all grade levels will be participating in themed dress-up days.

Bryson played in the #2 seed this week for Meeker High School. He had some struggles with long iron shots and fairway woods. He finished with an 89 at the Yampa Valley Golf Course in Craig on Monday and made an improvement on Tuesday at Haymaker in Steamboat.

During science last week, the preschoolers had fun learning about the energy in their bodies and seeing how it can be transferred from their hands to an energy stick that lights up. They all loved it!

On September 11, Rangely Junior/Senior High School was placed on a short hold shortly after school began. This is part of the standard response protocol we use as part of the "I love you guys.” In this situation, we had an emergency medical situation that seemed most appropriate for students to stay in their classrooms while emergency personnel transported a school employee to a vehicle for further treatment. At no time was anyone at risk. However, we did our best to protect the kids.

On Friday, August 30, the Rangely High School Varsity Football team hosted the Longhorns from Altamont, Utah, for their first official game of the 2024 season.
The Panthers defeated the Longhorns 50-0, ending the night with a long-standing Rangely Tradition of a victory bell ring.

In the second week of August, high school band students participated in a band camp hosted by Rangely Junior/Senior High Band Teacher Mr. Solis.
Shout-out to clarinet player Freshman Faith Prieto for not missing one day.

On Thursday, Mr. Forbes’ fourth-grade students visited Ms. Hernandez’s first-grade class and read books to the younger students.
Picture day for all grade levels is Tuesday, September 3. All students will have their picture taken for school records even if they aren’t purchasing a packet.
