Kindergarten through fifth-grade students will have their library day on Monday of this week instead of Tuesday. Please help your students locate any books they have borrowed from the Parkview or EEC library. ALL books are due by April 30. Classes who return 100% of their books will be rewarded with a prize. If your student has lost or damaged books, please contact Ashley Sanford at ashley.sanford@rangelyk12.org to make arrangements to replace them.
Fifth-grade students are assembling number lines with astronomical units to grasp how big our solar system is.
For Earth Day, the preschoolers worked together to clean rocks and trash from around the playground tree so they can plant new grass.

Parkview Elementary and Early Education Center Students of the Month ✏️
April students of the month were based on the characteristic positive.
On Tuesdays, when the students have library, they enjoy reading outside in the sunshine. Ms. Ashley used the money the library received from Hogwarts to purchase sunglasses for the students to use during their reading.
Recently, two of our second-grade students visited the Early Education Center to give a presentation on confidence to their peers, all while sporting their pajamas for Pajama Day! We are super proud of these students and their teacher for a job well done.
Big shout out to our IT team! They are working hard to enhance the safety of all our students and staff with the installation of a new system. This upgrade includes panic buttons in our buildings and ensures immediate notification to the police in emergencies. Thank you for making our schools safer!
Big thanks to the Town of Rangely and the dedicated crew for their hard work cleaning up the dirt road between the EEC and the baseball field! Your efforts help keep our community looking good and help keep that Rangely dust down.

On Tuesday, November 21, the second grade enjoyed Camp Read-a-Lot. The day was filled with reading, fun, and different activities to tie in a love for reading.
Kindergarten read Turkey Trouble. It’s all about how Turkey hatches a plan to disguise himself as another animal so he won’t be eaten for Thanksgiving. Students brought Turkey home and did a great job helping him disguise himself.

This week, the 8th-grade careers class visited CNCC to learn about Aviation Maintenance and Dental Hygiene, both of which are excellent career paths with programs available locally.
Hi Parkview families, we have two quick reminders. First, please return Grandparent's Day RSVPs to your child's teacher if your child will have a guest on November 20. Also, tomorrow, November 16 is picture retake day. Students that missed the original picture day will take pictures tomorrow. Students wanting retakes need to bring their original packet of pictures back to school with them tomorrow. Cheri has picture order forms at the Parkview office.
The preschoolers are gearing up for the cold weather by making winter hats.
This past Monday, the Rangely FFA chapter embarked on an enriching journey to the District Leadership Conference in Meeker. Amidst a gathering of over 200 students from nine schools in our FFA District, our 12 members seized the opportunity to partake in five insightful workshops. These workshops unraveled the art of cooperative leadership, chapter committee and function planning, effective decision-making, and the importance of trust in group activities.
A highlight of the event was our very own Ryann Mergelman, the District 1 FFA Secretary, who served as a workshop presenter for rotating groups of members. The 12 representatives from Rangely FFA showcased outstanding dedication, leaving the conference with newfound knowledge and experiences to enrich our chapter's future endeavors.
The members of the Junior High National Honor Society mailed care packages to several of our former graduates who are actively serving in the military. Many thanks have been received.
