2024-2025 School Transportation Information
You must complete the transportation form if you want to sign up your child for bus transportation. If you would like transportation for the 2024-2025 school year, the form MUST be completed by Friday, August 9. Even if you plan to drive your student to school the first day, the form needs to be completed by the 9th.
Rangely School District provides an in-town route (the in-town route will include pre-k to fifth grade only) from Darius to River Road. We will also have a mid-day half-day pre-k route for in-town stops, down the river (the route will run the same as previous years), up the river, and a Dinosaur route. Please use the link below to find the online form. The form will soon be available on our website under the Parent/Student tab.

Please be aware that your child/children’s pick-up/drop-off locations must be consistent Monday through Thursday. If it is necessary for you to change locations because of a change of address, job change, or a new childcare provider, please complete a new School Bus Authorization Form at least five school days in advance. Same-day changes are hard to implement. We will no longer accept temporary transportation requests or route changes. In the event of an emergency, please get in touch with the Transportation Department by email or phone call.
If you have a student who will only be riding the bus for activity trips, you must fill out the Sport/Activity Transportation Form, which is available in the student handbooks.
Once you submit the bus request form, you will receive an email with your bus stop location and times.

🏈 Junior High Football Information 🏈 Junior high football practice will begin on Monday, August 12, at 4:00 PM. Athletes will need to meet outside the junior/senior high school by the football field. Please bring cleats, a mouthpiece, and a water bottle. Physical paperwork and proof of insurance must be turned in to the office before practice. The office opens on Monday, August 5, and will be open all week to accept paperwork. Concession testing must also be completed prior to the first practice. Concussion testing is taking place on Monday, August 5. Practices will be from 4:00-6:00 PM Monday through Friday throughout the session. School offices will open for the school year on Monday, August 5. Offices will be open 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday through Thursday.
If you need to register a new preschool through fifth-grade student, please stop by Parkview Elementary School at 550 River Road. Students registering for sixth through twelfth grade must stop by the Rangely Junior/Senior High School at 234 Panther Way.
This is a great time to get student athlete’s physical and proof of insurance turned in.
All junior high parents with athletes participating in a fall sport are required to attend a mandatory parent meeting on Tuesday, August 6, at 7:00 PM in the Rangely Junior/Senior High Auditorium. Following the parent meeting, there will be individual team meetings.

Students in preschool through fifth grade and their families will find out who their classroom teacher is, receive testing times, sign up for transportation, get handbooks, and pay tech fees.
The school building will not be open during this event. Students are asked to bring their school supplies on their testing day or the first day. Students will not be visiting classrooms this evening but will have time to visit with their teacher.
We are asking for a freewill donation for dinner to go towards our sister school, Firm Foundation School, in Ghana, Africa. Any donations are welcome!
Families will want to bring a blanket to sit on for eating, as there will be limited seating.
Important Rangely Junior High Athletic Information!
On Monday, August 5, there will be mandatory concussion testing for all junior high athletes planning to play a sport during the 2024-25 school year in room 303 at the Rangely Junior/Senior High School.
8:00-10:00 AM 6th grade
10:00 AM-12:00 PM 7th grade
1:00-3:00 PM 8th grade
The office will be open and available for athletes to turn in their physical paperwork.
All junior high athletic schedules are now available on the school website and phone app. All contests are subject to change at any time.

Emergency vehicles are visiting the Early Education Center. You will see multiple agencies at the school on Thursday, May 9. Please know everyone is safe and there is no emergency. The agencies are there for entertainment and learning purposes.
Fifth-grade students continued their exploration of geometrical shapes in nature, such as raft bubbles, and analyzed how these shapes occur naturally. Students determined regular and irregular hexagons in their bubble experiment, counted, and considered where these shapes appear in nature. Raft bubbles are found when water creates bubbles, such as in rivers and lakes.
The fifth-grade students practiced naming polygons and listening skills using math terminology and descriptions to mimic each other's figures.
On Thursday, April 25, third graders presented to students on Parkview’s character trait of the month, positive.
Kindergarten through fifth-grade students will have their library day on Monday of this week instead of Tuesday. Please help your students locate any books they have borrowed from the Parkview or EEC library. ALL books are due by April 30. Classes who return 100% of their books will be rewarded with a prize. If your student has lost or damaged books, please contact Ashley Sanford at ashley.sanford@rangelyk12.org to make arrangements to replace them.
Fifth-grade students are assembling number lines with astronomical units to grasp how big our solar system is.
For Earth Day, the preschoolers worked together to clean rocks and trash from around the playground tree so they can plant new grass.
Their slogan was "Save Our Tree!

Parkview Elementary and Early Education Center Students of the Month ✏️
April students of the month were based on the characteristic positive.
On Tuesdays, when the students have library, they enjoy reading outside in the sunshine. Ms. Ashley used the money the library received from Hogwarts to purchase sunglasses for the students to use during their reading.
Recently, two of our second-grade students visited the Early Education Center to give a presentation on confidence to their peers, all while sporting their pajamas for Pajama Day! We are super proud of these students and their teacher for a job well done.
Big shout out to our IT team! They are working hard to enhance the safety of all our students and staff with the installation of a new system. This upgrade includes panic buttons in our buildings and ensures immediate notification to the police in emergencies. Thank you for making our schools safer!
Big thanks to the Town of Rangely and the dedicated crew for their hard work cleaning up the dirt road between the EEC and the baseball field! Your efforts help keep our community looking good and help keep that Rangely dust down.
