On Friday, August 30, the Rangely High School Varsity Football team hosted the Longhorns from Altamont, Utah, for their first official game of the 2024 season.
The Panthers defeated the Longhorns 50-0, ending the night with a long-standing Rangely Tradition of a victory bell ring.
Congratulations on your win, Panthers. Here’s to a great season!

Meet Roary! The new Rangely Panther Mascot.
Rangely School District would like to thank the Rangely Panther Pride Booster Club for purchasing Roary. We appreciate all you do for our athletic programs.

In the second week of August, high school band students participated in a band camp hosted by Rangely Junior/Senior High Band Teacher Mr. Solis.
Shout-out to clarinet player Freshman Faith Prieto for not missing one day.
“Faith was always on time and ready to work. Her clarinet and marching skills skyrocketed in the few days of camp. Her happy and go-to attitude will make her a pivotal member of our ensemble this coming year.” -Mr. Solis
Words from Faith
Fun Fact: I like the color green and hope to improve my high notes (on clarinet).
“Camp has helped teach me something valuable: marching and playing fundamentals for the year. It is fun to play an instrument!
Great Job Faith!

On Thursday, Mr. Forbes’ fourth-grade students visited Ms. Hernandez’s first-grade class and read books to the younger students.

As we head into the new school year, let’s all do our part to keep our kids safe!
⚠️ Slow Down: Reduce your speed in school zones and be extra cautious near bus stops.
🚦 Stop for the Bus: When those red lights are flashing, it’s the law to stop! Let's keep our streets safe for our students.
👀 Stay Alert: Kids can be unpredictable. Always keep an eye out, especially during pick-up and drop-off times.
🚶🏼Colorado crosswalk laws require drivers to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.
Together, we can ensure a safe journey for all our students. Let’s make this school year the safest one yet!

Thank you to all the families who attended Parkview’s Back to School Night! We enjoyed seeing everyone and are excited for the school year ahead.
Kindergarten through fifth-grade students start testing on Monday, August 19. Testing times are listed on the card you received on back-to-school night, which shows your child’s teacher. When you bring your student for testing, it is also a great time to bring school supplies.
If you were unable to make the back-to-school night and have not heard from the school about your student's testing time, please contact the Parkview Office at (970) 675-2267.

Students in preschool through fifth grade and their families will find out who their classroom teacher is, receive testing times, sign up for transportation, get handbooks, and pay tech fees.
The school building will not be open during this event. Students are asked to bring their school supplies on their testing day or the first day. Students will not be visiting classrooms this evening but will have time to visit with their teacher.
We are asking for a freewill donation for dinner to support our sister school, Firm Foundation School, in Ghana, Africa. Any donation is welcome!
Families will want to bring a blanket to sit on for eating, as there will be limited seating.
