Junior Trumpet Players Gage Nielson and Issac Navarro traveled to the yearly Masonic Band Camp at the University of Northern Colorado this past Fourth of July. There, they rehearsed and performed a wide selection of music and worked with some of the best musicians from all across the State.
Students are carefully selected by their band directors, who look for hardworking students dedicated to their program, great musicians, and great citizens of their community. With only five days of rehearsal, the MBC performed a showstopper at their evening concert and won "Best Marching Band" at the "High School Marching Band" section of the Greeley Stampede. This event brings thousands of people from Northern Colorado and Southeast Wyoming who come to enjoy the music and parade.
Gage and Issac were key members of their section, which represented Rangely. Their music was heard throughout Colorado.
Congratulations and a job well done Gage and Issac!
