Mr. Day, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Parsons, Mr. Dillon : attending
Fund Raising Request for D.I.– Amy Ward
There are teams at all levels – Elementary, Middle School, High School. There are 70 students involved in DI, and to be able to take the students to state the groups need to raise money. At this time they plan on selling Little Caesar’s Pizza. Sales are planned for January. Middle School has a consensus that the fundraiser would be ok.
Mrs. Lansing gave a presentation of MAPs testing.
The test will determine instructional level rather than a mastery of knowledge level. The tests will help guide the teacher on how to help every student grow. The computer tests are aligned to State Standards and the results are immediate. All grades will be tested for Reading and ?. This test is not to compare how the students are performing to other students but to get a reading on where the students are learning. The tests will adjust the difficulty of the questions until the students are answering 50% of the time. Teachers can access reports in 24 hours. The teachers can go to the DeCartes site and then get a list of the skills that the student needs to learn based on the tests.
